My Wedding: Part 1

Why:Because we love each other, and we’re awesome!

To all that do not know, I recently got married to my best friend and the greatest person I have ever known. Things didn’t always go in the “right” order or in the most “proper” way, but we did it OUR way. I will tell you a little about it and show you some of the pictures, but there will I’m sure be more pictures to come later.
So most etiquette books and superstitious people will probably tell you that the bride and the groom shouldn’t see each other the day of the wedding… we didn’t really agree with that or care to much, so the morning of the wedding I woke up and got to look at my future husband. I think it helped with the nerves and keeping everything more calm all the way around.
We woke up and did what most couples would've had done weeks before…went to get our marriage license!! haha Nothing like doing things all sorts of backwards huh?
After lunch Carl and I split up until we would later see each other at the end of the isle. That’s where the nerves kicked in! Would I be ready in time? Would I look ok? Would Carl be nervous? Would someone “OBJECT!”? lol The craziest thoughts run through your head.
My sister Tabitha helped me get my hair ready, and my mom dressed me. Once I had my dress on in my room I couldn’t stop being so nervous! {the only reason I was nervous was having to walk out in front of a group of people….not the actual marrying Carl part} I was so nervous I would let anyone into my dressing room besides my mom, my brother Corey (who was walking me down the isle), and my sister Tabitha. I don’t think I really had a choice as to whether or not our AMAZING photographer Simona Buna got to come in or not! :) I wouldn’t even let my other family members in I was so nervous! When it was just me and Corey, what do we do???………..SING! haha

ADVICE PLEASE & THANKYOU

Ok, so I need some help. I’m not sure why but I was born with and have HORRIBLE legs/knees. I have arthritis at the age of 21 in both of my knees! I’m only 21!! So I have recently started taking osteo bi flex, (which yes is for older people), but its supposed to promote mobility, help renew cartilage and lubricate your joints. Two of the powerful ingredients include Glucosamine and Chondroitin. So I’m hoping it works, but until then, I was just wondering if anyone knows of any exercises that are good cardio that you don’t really have to use your knees? IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!? I’m seriously going crazy here! HELP! 

Another Well Educated Beginning

 

Well a couple of months ago, any time I would run my shins would hurt really really bad when I ran. {I honestly had no idea why} Its been bothering me, so I decided to look into it some more. What was happening when I was running was shin splints. Horrible horrible pain, and I would always have to stop. So I typed it into google and what do you know, I should’ve listened to Tabitha a long time ago and should’ve gotten better shoes!

  My new shoes & running socks! {And no I didn’t pick them out because of the color for once, it just happened to work out for better} I went to an actually shoe store that specializes in runners and running shoes. (Its called “Second Sole”)

I also found out that I am an overpronater! (most people are I was told) but these shoes felt so amazing I will never just go buy shoes at a regular store again.

Hopefully I will get to go into the gym tomorrow and gift it another shot with my new shoes.

Lately, well lately its been crazy!

 

    I feel like its been FOREVER since I’ve written a blog. Time just seems to never stop when you need more of it in the day. I feel like I have so much to do and no time to do it! I’ve been working a lot to try and save up a little spending money in May {when I get to Washington to Visit Tabitha and Joe!}, then there have been a couple of unexpected doctor appointments to deal with, and I am trying to plan our wedding and reception! whew! Its been crazy lately! I have barely had time to talk to my mom, and haven’t gotten to talk to Tabitha as much as I would like to.

   On a good note the doctors appointments went over good and we’ve gotten a lot of planning done! :)

I’m proud of myself… a little.

For Christmas, Quentin & Melissa bought me three different sized kettlebells. A 15 pounder like I asked for {that was ambitious}, a 5 and 3. The 5 and 3 came with a dvd, and up until yesterday I couldn’t even complete a single work out all the way through! My endurance sucked so bad that I actually looked up on Google “how to build your endurance.” I didn’t really read anything that helped, so I just stuck with it pushed myself really hard. {I’ve really grown to love working out over these past couple of months .. its my thinking time} I completed a workout all the way through without stopping at all. For me that is a big accomplishment that I am very proud of. It was a natural high, like being on cloud 9.

I have to just thank Carl for putting up with my being overly excited at the fact I did it!

I remember every single moment like it was just yesterday, and I would live it over and over if I could. Christmas and spending time with Tabitha & Joe went by way to fast I took 300 pictures!! (so please be patient I can’t put every single one up, but here are some of my most favorite)

Traditions are awesome no matter how old you get.  Opening PJ’s and new games to play is always one of the things I look forward to!

 

I love how everyone get the exact pajama match to their personality. Joe and his m&m buddies, Melissa and her penguin friends, and Mom with Holly & Jolly!

 

Likewise turned out to be a very laid back type of game where as Bezzerwizzer is more of the type that you have to think about. The game I opened and was very excited about was UNO!

 

 Something was really funny. I had to put all 3 of these, its just funny!

Christmas morning is always the best. The most amazing omelets in the whole world made by my oldest brother Quentin, then hours opening gifts and more family time!

 

Ryan absolutely loves his album Tabitha made him. All Willow & him!

A couple of days later we had an awesome dinner at Quentin & Melissa’s house!

 

This picture was taken the night before Tabitha left, I thought it was a good picture so I threw it in.

 

 

 

 

I counted down every single day until it was finally the day I would be able to see my sister Tabitha & Joe. She probably wanted to throw her phone out of the window some days, but knowing I would finally get to see one of my best friends was something I had grown to look forward to. She is one of the only people I feel I can always count on. I regret not having the chance to be the person I am today sooner and getting to know her when she lived out her. {I know that probably doesn’t make sense.} I want to also say that I am also very happen I finally got the opportunity to spend some time with Joe. He is incredibly funny and just fun to be around.

December 24th, 2010 was one of the best days of the year for me, Tabitha & Joe made it here and everything fell into place! Christmas began. I hope everyone had a great Christmas!
